Last weekend, Jos Verstappen and Renaud Jamoul dominated the 6 Hours of Kortrijk rally. The duo, also the Belgian champions, once again drove to a convincing victory. They took an early lead in their Citroën C3 Rally2, prepared by the French Sarrazin Motorsport, and never relinquished it, outperforming all competitors over fourteen special stages.
The race around Kortrijk consisted of fourteen special stages. The opening stage on Saturday evening was immediately won by Jos Verstappen, setting the tone for the rest of the weekend. Sunday saw three rounds over the Zwevegem, Bellegem, Aalbeke, and Marke stages, with an extra pass over Lavano halfway through. In the first loop, Verstappen scored P1, P2, P4, and again P1, creating a margin of 13.3 seconds over veterans Davy Vanneste and Denis Squedin.
During the second round, Jos Verstappen further increased the pace: P1, P2, P1, P1, and P1. This extended their lead to a comfortable 27.8 seconds. Verstappen remained flawless even in the final stages. With P1, P5, P2, and P2, he and Jamoul maintained a high pace and expanded their lead to 35.7 seconds – this time over Vincent Verschueren and Mathieu Vynckier, who narrowly beat Vanneste and Squedin. This resulted in another resounding victory.
