Are you in the market for a new car? This classic might just be the one for you! We’re talking about none other than Michael Schumacher’s very first Formula 1 car, the Jordan 191. Before the German legend collected seven world titles, he made his debut in this iconic speedster at Spa in 1991. This specific chassis is soon going under the hammer.

Spa-Francorchamps, 1991. Team boss Eddie Jordan calls up the 22-year-old Michael Schumacher to fill in for regular driver Bertrand Gachot. The Franco-Belgian driver is serving a prison sentence for assaulting a taxi driver in London. Never a dull moment in Formula 1. Schumacher, who at that time had only driven one test day in an F1 car, steps into the Jordan 191 for his first free practice in the premier class. Chassis Number Six: A Piece of Formula 1 History

The specific car, chassis number six, is now up for auction. Currently held by the British company, DK Engineering, this iconic vehicle could soon be yours! It’s a golden opportunity for fans of Jordan and the legendary Michael Schumacher. However, the future owner will need deep pockets. The car is estimated to be worth between 1.4 and 2 million euros. In return, you get an iconic vehicle – the green-blue Jordan 191 has been hailed as one of the most beautiful Formula 1 cars of all time.

After the free practice, Michael Schumacher handed over chassis number six to his teammate Andrea de Cesaris. For the rest of the weekend, the German driver took his place in chassis number five. During the qualification, he drove to the seventh starting position, an impressive performance. However, Michael Schumacher’s first race was short-lived – after one lap around Spa-Francorchamps, the gearbox of his Jordan gave up. Immediately after his first Grand Prix, the future world champion was snatched away by the Benetton team, and the rest is history.
