The organizers of the Grand Prix in Las Vegas are already preparing for a celebration. There is a high probability that Max Verstappen will clinch his fourth world title in the gambling city, prompting the American organizers to start preparations. The only person who could potentially spoil the party is Lando Norris. However, the GP Las Vegas is also thrilled about the title fight between Verstappen and the Brit.

Max Verstappen heads to Las Vegas with a 62-point lead, and it’s possible that the Dutchman will leave with his fourth world title. Only Lando Norris can still disrupt the celebration, if he prevents Verstappen from flying to Qatar with a lead of sixty points or more. Reportedly, Las Vegas is already preparing for a celebration.

Autosport reports that discussions have taken place between the organizers and Red Bull to see what can be done to celebrate Verstappen’s fourth world title, should the Dutchman indeed clinch it in Las Vegas.

“I’m confident that we can pull some ideas out of our hat. Perhaps we can arrange some exciting possibilities in advance,” says Renee Wilm, CEO of the Las Vegas Grand Prix, to Autosport. “If you look at the properties on the Strip, Wynn and Encore (hotels) are unparalleled in terms of top-tier hospitality. Then, of course, you have the Bellagio further down the Strip, with its iconic fountains.”

Beneficial for the American Market

The Las Vegas Grand Prix was organized for the first time last year. However, Max Verstappen had already secured his third world title by then. The fact that the Dutchman is not entirely certain of his title this year works well for the organizers of the American race. “The fact that the championship is still up for grabs has an incredible impact, especially on the American market,” explains Wilm.

“I think older fans are often more focused on how their team or driver is performing, while we in the US like to see good competition. It’s less about who the specific team or driver is,” continues the CEO. “So, because there’s still so much at stake, and the fact that you have so many different drivers on the podium, creates a lot of buzz in itself.”
