With only nine Grand Prix remaining until the regulations are overhauled for the 2026 season, more and more racing teams are shifting their focus entirely to next year. However, Red Bull is not yet done with the capricious RB21, and the team is still coming up with a major upgrade package for the car in Monza. In particular, the floor has been revamped for the Italian Grand Prix.

Red Bull has made subtle adjustments to the floor. The edges and fences have been modified to generate additional downforce. The baffles in front of the side pods have also been changed, and the third and fourth flaps of the front wing have been shortened to maintain balance. The latter is an upgrade specifically for the characteristics of the Monza circuit.

Other teams also bring upgrades to Monza

Red Bull is not the only team modifying their car for the Temple of Speed. McLaren is also implementing several changes to their MCL39. The British team has attached a completely new rear wing to the car and is bringing a new housing for the front wheel suspension. McLaren hopes to meet Monza’s low downforce requirements in this way. Red Bull’s sister team, Racing Bulls, is also bringing upgrades. The Faenza-based team has implemented a new flap for the rear wing – specifically for Monza – and updates to the floor.

Meanwhile, home heroes Ferrari are bringing a newly developed flap for the front wing, which reduces both downforce and drag. Like Red Bull and Racing Bulls, the Mercedes team has adjusted the floor to extract more performance from the component.
