Williams fans are being given the opportunity to decide the test livery for the new car. The FW48, which will be unveiled next year, will feature a unique, one-off color scheme during winter testing. After an impressive season, in which Williams crowned itself as the best of the rest, the British racing team is eagerly looking forward to the new Formula 1 season. The new technical regulations offer opportunities for the midfield team.

With Carlos Sainz and Alex Albon on board, Williams climbed to an impressive fifth place in the constructors’ championship this year. Sainz secured two podium finishes, while Albon consistently scored good points for the Grove-based team. Even before the end of the season, the Brits had already amassed more points than in the previous seven years combined. The team has once again become a formidable opponent in the midfield and wants to celebrate this with its fans worldwide.

That’s why supporters are being given the chance to choose a test livery for Williams. The design will actually appear on the new FW48 during private testing in Barcelona. The names of the color schemes are just as flashy: Blue Horizon, Future Force, Generation Next, Midnight Velocity, Flow State, and Apex Predator.

‘No Better Way to Start 2026’

Team boss James Vowles considers the voting initiative a logical continuation of the renewed contact with the fan base. “One of the highlights this year was seeing the growing number of fans proudly wearing blue to support Williams,” he said. “There’s no better way to start 2026 than by giving our millions of fans around the world the chance to choose a test livery for the FW48. It will be a particular pleasure to usher in a new era for the sport with a fan-chosen color scheme.”

Alexander Albon is also enthusiastic and encourages supporters to make their voices heard. “We see the incredible passion and dedication of Williams fans at every race,” he added. “With their support, they help the team move forward. I can’t wait to see which of these six stunning designs they choose to kick off the new era in Barcelona.”
