Following the Grand Prix of Singapore, Max Verstappen’s lead over Lando Norris in the World Championship standings has dwindled to 52 points, a decrease from the 59-point lead prior to the race.
Thanks to his victory and the fastest lap, the British driver scored 25 points at the Marina Bay Street Circuit. Meanwhile, the Dutch driver, finishing second, added 18 points to his tally. This has allowed Norris to further chip away at his deficit.
The Battle for the Constructors’ Title
McLaren has significantly extended its lead over Red Bull in the fight for the constructors’ title, largely due to Oscar Piastri’s third-place finish (15 points). McLaren leaves Singapore with 40 points, while Red Bull only managed to secure 19 points (Sergio Pérez contributed one point for P10). This has increased the gap from 20 to 41 points in favor of Norris and his team. With six regular races and three sprint races remaining this season, the competition is heating up.
