Max Verstappen continues his impressive comeback in the title race with a dominant victory in the United States Grand Prix. Thanks to this win, he has reduced the gap to World Championship leader Oscar Piastri to just 40 points. Mercedes team boss Toto Wolff expressed admiration for Verstappen’s class after the race.

Red Bull appears to be back in form, partly thanks to the upgrades the team introduced during the Italian Grand Prix. Since the summer break, Verstappen has reduced his deficit from 104 points to just 40. According to Toto Wolff, the RB21 is currently the most competitive car on the grid, allowing Verstappen to score big points and increase the pressure on the McLaren drivers.

Wolff expressed his admiration for Verstappen and his performances: “Max is amazing, but I couldn’t say whether another driver could do what he is currently doing. They have completely rebuilt the car, and that car is currently the most competitive. He is scoring the big points, and as a driver, he is as good as it gets.”

Tension Rises

With five races and two sprint races remaining, the battle for the world championship promises to remain incredibly exciting. Verstappen is determined to defend his title, while Lando Norris is doing everything he can to make up his deficit. Meanwhile, leader Piastri is feeling the increasing pressure from both sides. The Mexican Grand Prix is scheduled for next week.
