Max Verstappen was overjoyed with his victory in his very first GT3 race at the Nürburgring and Nordschleife. The Dutchman triumphed in Emil Frey Racing’s Ferrari in the ninth race of the NLS series in a sublime manner, alongside his Verstappen.com teammate Chris Lulham. “This feels really great.”
Amazing, fantastic, superb; these were the words Verstappen used to express his feelings after the four-hour GT race in front of the organization’s camera. He drove superbly from start to finish, his stints were impressive. “Fortunately, they were flawless, I drove two beautiful stints. To then immediately secure your first victory, together with Chris, is fantastic here.”
Everything fell into place in the race, observed the four-time Formula 1 world champion. “Including traffic.” He also had high praise for the car. “It was fantastic. I noticed that in the qualification, even though we had some bad luck then.” Verstappen, starting from P3 with Lulham, ultimately drove sovereignly to victory.
