The now-familiar Red Bull livery, dark blue with yellow-red accents, has barely changed over the years. Judging by the first images of the racing suits and team clothing, we should not expect major changes in 2025 either. Moreover, Max Verstappen hinted in a livestream that the RB21 will follow the same design as its predecessors.
On Monday, Red Bull shared the first photos of drivers Max Verstappen and Liam Lawson in their new outfits. The racing suits and official team clothing hardly differ from previous years. Apart from a few new sponsors, the differences are minimal. Many fans expressed disappointment on social media; when will the team opt for a fresh look? The chances of the RB21 bringing change are slim. Verstappen previously hinted that there are few new elements in the color scheme.
A Touch of Orange?
“I am very happy with our livery,” said the reigning world champion in a livestream with his friends from Team Redline. Verstappen is usually not eager for a new color scheme, but in the run-up to the new season, he was notably enthusiastic. “I can’t say more about it,” he grinned. When subsequently asked what colors the car would get, he replied: “A bit of yellow, a bit of blue. And carbon, of course.”
Will Red Bull fans finally see a renewed livery, or will the team stick to the same successful formula? We will know for sure on Tuesday. Then, the team will unveil the RB21 during the F1 75 event in London. In honor of the seventy-fifth anniversary of Formula 1, all teams will reveal their liveries simultaneously during a big show in the O2 Arena. Max Verstappen and his new teammate, Liam Lawson, will also be present.
