Max Verstappen, a Formula 1 colleague, has been declared the ‘Driver of the Year’ by his peers. For the fifth consecutive year, the drivers have chosen the Dutchman as the best driver of the past season. Lando Norris, who narrowly won the world title from Verstappen in Abu Dhabi, finishes in second place.
Max Verstappen was also chosen as the best driver of 2025 by the team bosses. The Dutchman particularly impressed in the second half of the season, when he reduced a deficit of more than a hundred points just after the Dutch GP to two in Abu Dhabi. However, Lando Norris just managed to stay ahead of the Red Bull driver in the drivers’ championship, and his colleagues have rewarded this with a second place.
Russell and Piastri
The rest of the top three, however, is different compared to the team bosses’ list. George Russell completes the top three, while the team bosses placed Oscar Piastri in third place. Among the drivers, the Australian is in fourth place. Charles Leclerc (5), Carlos Sainz (6), Fernando Alonso (7), Alexander Albon (8), Oliver Bearman (9), and Isack Hadjar (10) complete the top ten. Notably absent is Lewis Hamilton, who is not part of the ranking for the first time.
