Dr. Helmut Marko has labeled the disappointing results of Red Bull Racing as highly alarming. In doing so, he aligns himself with Max Verstappen, who also stated on Sunday after the race in Bahrain that there are numerous issues within the team.
According to Marko, there is a problem with both the car and the working method. “We have many problems. The main ones are the balance in the car and the grip. In addition, we had a problem with the brakes. And during the pit stops, a lot went wrong in this race as well.”
Marko: “We are not competitive, we need to ensure that we prepare better as a team and find a better setup for the car more quickly.”
All in all, Marko, like his Dutch driver, sees little hope for improvement in the next race. That will be next weekend in Saudi Jeddah. Only in Imola will there be updates that could possibly make a difference. “New things are coming,” he confirms with a view to that Grand Prix, in mid-May. And the fight for the championship? Marko, in conclusion: “I am seriously worried about that.”
