The race weekend in Azerbaijan not only resulted in a victory for Max Verstappen, but also a rare collective success moment for the entire Red Bull family. Both Red Bull Racing and Racing Bulls saw all their drivers finish in the points. This hasn’t happened in a regular Grand Prix since the Russian Grand Prix in 2020.

Max Verstappen drove to his fourth victory of the season on the streets of Baku, but it was the overall picture that stood out: not only did teammate Yuki Tsunoda have a strong race, but Liam Lawson and Isack Hadjar also scored points. While Red Bull Racing competes for points on a weekly basis, these are much less certain for the sister team – let alone for both drivers at the same time. In Azerbaijan, everything came together: the speed, the strategy, and the momentum. Something that rarely happens, as history shows.

Points Victory

The last time the entire Red Bull family scored points in an official Grand Prix was almost five years ago – during the Russian Grand Prix in 2020. At that time, Max Verstappen (P2) and Alexander Albon (P10) finished in the top ten for Red Bull Racing, while the sister team, then still operating under the name AlphaTauri, also scored points with Daniil Kvyat (P8) and Pierre Gasly (P9). A solid team performance, but not comparable to the force with which Red Bull and Racing Bulls manifested themselves this weekend. Since then, there have been races in which both teams scored points, such as the sprint race in Miami in 2024, but in a regular Grand Prix, it did not happen again that all Red Bull cars scored. Until now.
