During the upcoming race weekend in Zandvoort, all eyes will naturally be on Max Verstappen. The home hero is set for his fifth Grand Prix on home soil, chasing his fourth victory on the dune circuit. However, there are also plenty of Dutchmen in the supporting program who could use the support of the orange fans. In the Porsche Supercup in Zandvoort, no less than twelve compatriots will be in action – a record.
A few hours before the Dutch GP, the seventh and penultimate race of the Porsche Supercup takes place. It promises to be a unique race for the orange fans in the stands; never before have so many Dutchmen been on the starting list. Our country has been playing a prominent role in the Porsche racing class for years.
This year, the Netherlands is represented stronger than ever, especially on the home circuit of Zandvoort. With seven regular drivers and five guest drivers, it promises to be a Dutch party anyway. Keep an eye on Robert de Haan and Flynt Schuring, both of whom still have a chance at the world title. The Frenchman Alessandro Ghiretti currently leads the championship, but the Dutchmen are hot on his heels. The Porsche Supercup program in Zandvoort starts on Friday at 12:00 UTC with free practice. On Saturday, the qualification follows from 11:00 to 11:30 UTC, while the race starts on Sunday at 09:45 UTC.
