Max Verstappen has had enough of all the questions about a potential suspension. During the post-qualification press conference in Canada, the Dutchman is terse. “It really makes me angry,” he says, visibly irritated.
“I don’t need to hear it again,” Verstappen responds to questions about a possible suspension now that he is also forming a front row with none other than George Russell. “It’s been going on since Thursday. It’s just a waste of time. It’s very childish. That’s why I really don’t want to say too much, because it’s really annoying.”
He is pleased with his qualifying result, as he immediately let it be known afterwards. And the race on Sunday? “I’m satisfied if I’m on the podium. I try to be as competitive as possible, try to get the most out of the car.”
