Max Verstappen is looking ahead to the Hungarian Grand Prix, the final race weekend before the summer break. The Dutchman is set to make his 200th start as a Red Bull driver at the Hungaroring, but his primary focus is on achieving a good qualifying result: ‘The Hungaroring has not always been our strongest circuit in the past.’

With four world titles and 65 Grand Prix victories to his name, Max Verstappen has become an integral part of Formula 1. The Dutchman is about to embark on his 200th race weekend as a Red Bull driver in Hungary, and takes a moment to reflect on his time with the Austrian team so far. “This is the last chance before the summer break,” the four-time champion begins in the Red Bull preview.

The Red Bull driver then looks back once more at the Belgian Grand Prix, where he just missed the podium. “Spa was a bit of a disappointing race for us – we had set up our car for a rain race, but in the end it didn’t rain – but we learn from it and will improve our performance.” Therefore, the focus is now on the Hungarian Grand Prix. “The Hungaroring has not always been our strongest circuit in the past. It’s difficult to overtake there, so we need a good qualifying session.”

‘Consistency’

Teammate Yuki Tsunoda is also looking forward to the last Grand Prix before the summer break. The Japanese driver achieved his best qualifying result as a Red Bull driver, seventh, in Belgium, partly thanks to the new floor under his RB21. “The race didn’t go according to plan, but the car felt good and gives me the necessary confidence for Hungary. We work well together as a team, but we still have some things to do to get to the next level. This weekend is all about finding consistency in our performance.”
