Max Verstappen has expressed his frustration with the FIA press conferences during race weekends, describing them as a waste of time. He shared these sentiments yesterday in Montreal, following an incident during the session that took place after the qualifying round. British questioner Tom Clarkson once again asked Verstappen about a possible suspension.
“It’s just childish. I find it a waste of time, I really don’t get anything out of it. They probably have nothing better to ask. It’s just becoming very annoying,” Verstappen told a group of Dutch journalists in the Montreal paddock.
Verstappen lamented the situation, saying, “It’s not getting any more enjoyable. When I’m there, I’m just counting down how long such a press conference will last. This is certainly not fun. I’m here to perform and do the best for the team and then I go home. I’m not here for other things. And this kind of commentary from the English press is just very childish. I don’t want to waste too much time on it.”
