On Thursday in Melbourne, Max Verstappen took another swipe at the creators of the Netflix hit series ‘Drive to Survive’, accusing them of occasionally distorting the truth. He stated that he immediately ignores clips from the show that appear in his timeline on X.
Earlier this month, Verstappen responded to the new season of Drive to Survive during a live stream of a sim-race. In one of the episodes, the creators suggest that Verstappen was extremely disappointed by Lando Norris’ first victory in Miami last year, while the Dutchman himself claimed to have had ‘the best time of his life’ following his friend’s win.
At the FIA press conference leading up to the Australian GP in Melbourne, Verstappen was asked what he thought about the Netflix team’s loose handling of facts during editing. “That doesn’t surprise me. I haven’t watched the episodes myself, but unfortunately, I sometimes see clips from the show in my timeline through people I follow on X. You have to quickly click on ‘ignore’ so you don’t see them in your feed anymore. No, not ‘block’, because then those people would see that. ‘Ignore’ is more convenient.”
