The sprint race in Austin ended in disarray due to a collision between Lance Stroll and Esteban Ocon in lap 16. Stroll attempted to overtake Ocon at high speed on the inside of turn 1, but braked too late and crashed into the rear of the Haas. Both cars were heavily damaged and had to retire. The front of the AMR25 was completely destroyed, while Ocon’s left rear wheel broke off due to the impact.
