Sergio Pérez remains confident that he will still be driving for Red Bull in 2025. Despite underperforming for most of the 2024 season, the Mexican driver believes that Red Bull extended his contract for a reason. He also explains why his teammate, Max Verstappen, performed well and even managed to secure his fourth title.

The Mexican driver is currently in eighth place in the drivers’ championship, while teammate Max Verstappen won the battle for the world title in Las Vegas. According to Pérez, his teammate was much better at handling the problems of the RB20 than he was. “The way the car changed meant we had to drive very differently. I was much more sensitive to changes than Max. Not much changed for Max, but a lot more for me,” says the man from Guadalajara.
Pérez Maintains Confidence
Nevertheless, Pérez is confident that Red Bull will perform better in 2025. The Mexican also believes that he will be part of the team, despite ongoing speculation about his future. “In the end, the team has all the information and there is a reason why we extended my contract earlier this year.” When asked if Pérez is one hundred percent confident that he will be driving for Red Bull in 2025, the driver responds: “Yes.
