Isack Hadjar predicts a Formula 1 comeback for Sergio Pérez next year. The Mexican, who was left without a contract this year after four seasons with Red Bull – he paled in comparison to Max Verstappen and had to make way for Liam Lawson. However, rumors are swirling around the six-time Grand Prix winner, particularly in connection with the new Cadillac team. According to Hadjar, Pérez stands a good chance of securing a new contract.

According to recent reports, Sergio Pérez is one of the main contenders for a seat with Cadillac. The American racing team, which will make its debut on the Formula 1 grid as the eleventh team from 2026, is keeping quiet about the composition of the line-up for now. The team has plenty of choices – especially among drivers with a lot of Formula 1 experience. Valtteri Bottas is a popular option, but the experience and commercial weight of someone like Pérez also carry a lot of weight.

‘I Hear Good Things’

Pérez has previously indicated that he is open to a return to Formula 1, provided it is an interesting project. “I’m in an incredible position,” he stated. “I’m very happy with my life and very excited about what lies ahead. If I’m presented with an interesting project, I’ll definitely consider it. But everything in its own time.” Pérez emphasized that his focus is currently on traveling and spending time with his family.”Isack Hadjar, who is making his debut this season with sister team Racing Bulls, is counting on a comeback from Pérez. “He is absolutely of Formula 1 level, that’s for sure,” said the French-Algerian driver. “I also hear a lot of positive things about him for next year. It seems like something is really happening. He clearly deserves a spot,” Hadjar concluded decisively. “We’re talking about Checo here – he did quite well alongside Max Verstappen.” In his first seasons with Red Bull, Pérez was able to compete with the Dutchman on occasion, but last year he was consistently outperformed. Of the 589 World Championship points that Red Bull eventually collected, only 152 were credited to the Mexican.”
