As the first triple header of 2025, featuring races in Japan and Bahrain, draws to a close, the upcoming weekend will see the finale with the Saudi Arabian GP, marking the fifth round of the current championship. After the heat in Bahrain, the drivers are set to be pushed to their limits once again. The weather forecast for the Saudi Arabian GP promises even more extreme temperatures.
The Jeddah Corniche Circuit is located by the Red Sea, so one might expect the drivers to enjoy a pleasant breeze as they make their first laps on the Arabian asphalt. Granted, it will probably be less hot this weekend than elsewhere in Saudi Arabia, but the predicted temperatures are still quite high. For now, there is no reason to expect that the mercury will drop below 30 degrees Celsius during the various sessions.
Weather Forecast for the Saudi Arabian GP
One thing we know for sure: it will remain bone dry in Jeddah all weekend. On Friday, when the first free practice sessions are held, the sun will be shining brightly and the temperature will reach around 32 degrees Celsius. In the evening, it will cool down to about 30 degrees, but with a humidity of 45%, it could still become uncomfortable for the drivers.
On Saturday – when the qualification is scheduled – little changes, except that the daytime temperature could reach 34 degrees Celsius. The narrow Jeddah Corniche Circuit already makes the Saturday program exciting enough, but at these temperatures, Max Verstappen and his colleagues will literally struggle to keep their heads cool. Finally, it will also be extremely hot during the Grand Prix. During the day, the mercury will rise to 35 degrees Celsius and the sun will continue to heat the circuit all day.
