Alessandro Alunni Bravi, Team Representative and Managing Director at Sauber, will be leaving the Swiss team at the end of January, as announced by Sauber on Wednesday. The team has not yet announced who will succeed the Italian.
The 2025 season has not yet begun, and the silly season seems to be in full swing within the premier class. Alessandro Alunni Bravi is the next prominent figure in Formula 1 to leave the racing class. The Italian has been working at the Swiss Sauber since 2017, as a board member, and has been serving as the Managing Director of the team since 2022. In 2023, the Italian also became the Team Representative, putting him more frequently in the spotlight. Who will succeed Alunni Bravi is not yet known.
“It is an emotional time as my journey with Sauber comes to an end,” Alunni Bravi himself responds in the press release. “Since I joined Sauber in 2017, I have seen this team grow and change beyond what anyone could have imagined.” The Italian calls it ‘inspiring’ that Sauber never lost its dedication to Formula 1. “I was proud to represent the team as its face for the past two years.”
Team Player
CEO Mattia Binotto, who started working at Sauber last August, also thanks ‘real team player’ Alunni Bravi for his work. “Alessandro played a wide range of roles within the team and guided it through difficult and exciting times. As he transitions to a new venture, the entire company wants to thank him for all his energy and contributions over the years and wish him the best for the future.”
