Former Mercedes driver Nico Rosberg has some advice for Racing Bulls rookie Isack Hadjar. The Frenchman has been making waves in his first year in Formula 1, and rumors of a potential promotion to sister team Red Bull are already circulating. However, Rosberg advises Hadjar against accepting such an offer: ‘I would definitely turn it down.’

Isack Hadjar is making an impression! The Racing Bulls rookie has already broken into the top ten multiple times and has collected 21 World Championship points. That’s eleven points more than his former teammate Yuki Tsunoda, who was promoted to sister team Red Bull in March. The Japanese driver is still struggling to adapt to the RB21 and has not finished higher than ninth place at the Bahrain Grand Prix.

Rumors are now circulating that Tsunoda could be replaced by Hadjar. However, former Formula 1 driver Nico Rosberg advises the Frenchman against accepting such a potential offer. “If I were Hadjar, if Red Bull even starts talking about a promotion, I would definitely turn it down,” the former Mercedes driver tells Sky F1. “He’s doing so well now with the Racing Bulls, he’s in a great position. If I were him, I would immediately say: ‘No chance.'”

Verstappen on Another Level

Meanwhile, Tsunoda is still unable to keep up with his teammate Max Verstappen. The Japanese driver has only scored seven points during his time at Red Bull, while the Dutchman has already amassed a total of 137 World Championship points. However, Tsunoda is not the first driver to be outpaced by Verstappen. Liam Lawson, Sergio Pérez, Alexander Albon, and Pierre Gasly have all been there before. “Everything points to the fact that Max Verstappen is really special,” says Rosberg. “And that’s all you can say about it, because all these guys are great drivers. It seems like he’s just on a different level than everyone else.”
