The Red Bull team has found a multi-year sponsor in cryptocurrency company Gate.io. The Austrian racing stable had a sponsorship contract with competitor Bybit for the past three years, but that collaboration ended in 2024. The logos of Gate.io will soon be visible on the RB21, the team equipment, and Max Verstappen’s helmet.
Crypto company Bybit was one of Red Bull’s main partners in recent years. The logos adorned the front and rear wing of the RB20 last season. Reportedly, the three-year deal with Bybit was worth about 150 million dollars. However, for the anniversary year, Red Bull has found a new sponsor in Gate.io, another Chinese crypto giant.
‘Groundbreaking Technology’
Gate.io was founded in 2013, making it one of the world’s first and most established companies in the field of cryptocurrency. In an official press release, Red Bull speaks of a ‘significant milestone in bringing together two market leaders’. Both companies are known for their pursuit of top performance and groundbreaking technology. “We are very excited to welcome Gate.io to the team,” said team boss Christian Horner. “We share the passion to be at the forefront of technological innovation.”
“At Gate.io, we believe that innovation and performance go hand in hand, whether it’s blockchain or motorsport,” added Dr. Lin Han, founder and CEO of Gate.io. “Just as Red Bull pushes the boundaries of engineering, we are continuously working on the development of blockchain technology to bring more transparency, speed, and efficiency to digital finance. We look forward to exploring new ways we can collaborate with Red Bull.”
