Red Bull will have a notable new sponsor at the São Paulo Grand Prix – the Formula 1 team confirmed on Thursday that it has struck a deal with McDonald’s. This is a first for the racing team; the fast-food giant has never before involved itself in the premier class of motorsport. During the race weekend in Brazil, the world-famous logo – the so-called Golden Arches – will be displayed on the halos of Max Verstappen and Yuki Tsunoda‘s cars.

Red Bull’s team refers to the partnership as ‘historic’ and ‘unique’. In addition to the logo appearing on the cars, Red Bull will be featured on the menu in various McDonald’s branches in Brazil. Moreover, the drive-through of one branch will be transformed into a Formula 1 pit lane, allowing fans to order their burgers in a real pit stop setting. Reportedly, the collaboration originated in 2024 when former Red Bull driver Sergio Pérez had a personal sponsorship deal with McDonald’s.

Promotional Activities

The team also hinted at various promotional activities on and around the Interlagos circuit. For now, it is a temporary collaboration – Red Bull and McDonald’s have signed an agreement for eight weeks. Gabriel D’Angelo Braz, Red Bull’s marketing director in Brazil, responded enthusiastically. “This collaboration is extremely special for us,” he said. “Two brands that people worldwide love are coming together to offer products that the public adores.”

“We’re talking about iconic brands that want to create unforgettable moments for their customers,” he added. “This collaboration is proof of that. Our mission is to give people wings, and our activities during the São Paulo Grand Prix prove that once again. The audience can expect a completely new experience, with exclusive experiences in major McDonald’s restaurants.”
