Emerson Fittipaldi, the two-time Formula 1 World Champion and Indy 500 winner, will be present at the TABAC Classic GP at the TT Circuit in Assen on September 14 and 15 (UST). In addition to Emerson’s presence, his son, Emerson Fittipaldi Jr., who competes for MP Motorsport in the Eurocup 3 championship, will also make an appearance.
Emerson Fittipaldi began his impressive racing career in 1970 in Formula 1. In 1972, the Brazilian won his first world title with the famous black-gold Lotus. Two years later, in 1974, he clinched the world title again, this time with McLaren. After his success in Formula 1, Fittipaldi switched to the American IndyCar Series in 1984. Here, he won the prestigious Indy 500 twice and conquered the IndyCar championship in 1989.
