Before the sprint race in Miami could even begin, the first red flag was already waved: although the rain had stopped, the track was still too wet to start.

After two formation laps, the safety car returned to the pit. A rolling start was chosen instead of a standing one, but several drivers, including polesitter Andrea Kimi Antonelli, complained about the lack of visibility. Oscar Piastri even stated that he had never had such poor visibility during a race.

The new start time has now been announced. A new attempt will be made at 12.25 local time.
