Mercedes has announced the unveiling date of their 2025 race car. The German racing team will reveal their car for the upcoming season, the W16, to the world on February 24. Unlike previous years, this will not take place at the Silverstone circuit, but is expected to occur during a filming day at the Bahrain International Circuit.
Mercedes is not the only team choosing to organize their own unveiling of the 2025 race car in addition to the joint F1 75 launch event on February 18. Ferrari previously announced that it will unveil the successor to the SF-24 on February 19, while Williams is organizing a launch event on Valentine’s Day. The Haas race car is likely to be seen for the first time during the team’s filming day at Silverstone, which is scheduled for February 16.
With the launch of their W16, Mercedes is reportedly breaking with tradition. The race car will not be shown at Silverstone for the first time since 2021. Since 2017, it has been customary for the racing team to showcase the car for the upcoming season at the British circuit.
