Attention McLaren fans! The British racing team is taking over the center of London ahead of the Grand Prix of Great Britain. McLaren Racing is hosting a two-day event at Trafalgar Square, in the heart of the British capital, to celebrate ‘everything about racing and innovation’.
The event, McLaren Racing Live: London, is part of McLaren’s efforts this season to bring the Formula 1 sport closer to the fans, especially racing enthusiasts who are unable to attend a Grand Prix weekend. Various racing cars will be on display at Trafalgar Square, including vehicles from Formula 1, Formula E, IndyCar, and the World Endurance Championship. Additionally, visitors can participate in sessions in the racing simulator and a pit stop challenge.
Trafalgar Square Bathed in Papaya Colors
McLaren Racing Live: London is scheduled to take place on Wednesday, July 2, and Thursday, July 3, and is free to attend. Details on how fans can be present at Trafalgar Square when the heart of London turns papaya-colored will be announced soon. “We absolutely cannot wait to paint Trafalgar Square in the color papaya with McLaren Racing Live: London,” says Louise McEwen, Head of Marketing at McLaren Racing, in the press release. “It will be an unforgettable experience and we look forward to celebrating it with everyone as we prepare for our home race at Silverstone.”
