Max Verstappen fans are in for a treat this weekend. The Dutch driver is once again getting behind the wheel for a sim race. Verstappen will be representing his own Team Redline in the virtual 24 Hours of Daytona.
Max Verstappen, along with eight other sim racers, will be participating for Team Redline in the virtual 24 Hours of Daytona race. The event is held on the iRacing sim platform a week before the 24 Hours of Daytona on the road. Fans can follow the action from 13:15 UTC via the streaming platform Twitch. Verstappen will be driving the race in a BMW M4 GT3 vehicle. The Dutchman has previously driven this car in the virtual 24 Hours of the Nürburgring.
Crash
This is not the first major sim race of the year for Verstappen. Last weekend, the Red Bull driver competed in the final round of the GTP IMSA Global Esports Championship. Verstappen received a ‘wildcard’ to participate in this virtual race, but unfortunately crashed in the opening round against the race leader. The driver ultimately finished twelfth.
