Max Verstappen, the four-time world champion, is set to take a break from his Formula 1 duties during the weekend of September 13 and 14, as the Azerbaijan Grand Prix is still a week away. However, Verstappen is not planning to rest. Instead, he is preparing for his debut in the Nürburgring Endurance Series (NLS) at the legendary Nürburgring. The Dutch racer hopes to participate on both Saturday and Sunday.
The seventh and eighth rounds of the Nürburgring Endurance Series (NLS) are scheduled to take place on the Nürburgring Nordschleife this coming Saturday and Sunday, respectively. Each race lasts four hours, and Max Verstappen plans to participate. However, before the four-time Formula 1 champion can actually race in an NLS race, he must first complete the mandatory licensing course. Therefore, the Dutchman will be hitting the books on Friday.
The Nürburgring is expected to be particularly busy this weekend. After all, there are plenty of racing fans who want to witness Verstappen’s NLS debut in person. For those unable to make the trip to our eastern neighbors, there is an alternative. The official Nürburgring YouTube channel offers free live streams of all championship races. The coverage of both the Saturday and Sunday sessions will begin at 9:15 UTC.
