Jos Verstappen will miss the climax of the Formula 1 season in Abu Dhabi this coming weekend, where Max Verstappen remains a strong contender for the title. Thanks to his victory last weekend in Qatar, Verstappen has reduced his deficit to World Championship leader Lando Norris to just twelve points.
However, Jos Verstappen will be in Kenya until December 13. He is participating in the renowned East African Safari Classic Rally in Kenya, alongside his regular navigator Renaud Jamoul. This marks Verstappen’s first time at the starting line of what is often referred to as ‘The world’s toughest rally‘. He will be competing in a 1970s Porsche 911.
Earlier this year, Verstappen participated in the Rally With No Name in Northern Sweden with the same red Porsche. The East African Safari Classic Rally runs from December 5 to 13 and is not only known for its challenging stages, but also for the stunning visuals it produces.
