Before Formula 1 takes its well-deserved summer break, Max Verstappen and his team are heading to the Belgian Ardennes. The Spa-Francorchamps Circuit is the battleground for the upcoming Belgian GP and is also the favorite track of the Dutch champion. Can Verstappen redeem himself after a disappointing race in Budapest at our southern neighbors’ venue?

Max Verstappen, representing Red Bull, is already looking forward to the Belgian race and the fourteenth round of the championship. After a challenging race at the Hungaroring, where the Dutchman was primarily at odds with his own team, he hopes to once again pull ahead of his competitors at Spa. “Hungary was a race to quickly forget,” Verstappen stated. “We have worked hard as a team to optimize our performance and get the best out of the car.”

Max Verstappen Discusses His Favorite Circuit and Upcoming Challenges

“Spa has always been my favorite circuit,” the 26-year-old driver continued. “It has many fast corners and there are many opportunities to overtake. In addition, we always get a lot of support from the many fans.” Verstappen is still facing a number of challenges, especially now that rain is predicted for the Belgian GP. “Of course, the weather makes things a bit more unpredictable, but we’ll see what the race brings,” said the Limburger.

Looking Forward to a Break

With the summer break in sight, Verstappen is also looking forward to some rest after the intensive first half of the season. “The team has worked very hard and, as this is the last race before the summer break, we are looking forward to some well-deserved rest, so we can come back even stronger,” he said. “For this weekend, we will try to deliver the best possible result.”
