Max Verstappen reacted emotionally after securing his world championship title, his fourth in a row. “Incredible! It was harder than last year, but we gave it our all. Thank you all so much,” he said immediately after the Las Vegas Grand Prix over the radio, while still in his car. “I never thought this would be possible, four world titles. Again, thank you all so much.”

The Red Bull driver finished fifth in the Las Vegas Grand Prix on Sunday morning, one place ahead of his only rival, Lando Norris. With two more races this season – in Qatar and Abu Dhabi – the Dutchman is now uncatchable.
