What can we expect from Lewis Hamilton‘s second week at Ferrari? The driver completed his first laps at the Fiorano circuit last Wednesday, but the Briton also has a busy testing schedule ahead. Next stop: the Circuit de Barcelona-Catalunya.
Many racing fans will have noticed that Lewis Hamilton began his first week at Ferrari last week. The Briton made his first official visit to the headquarters in Maranello and completed his first thirty laps in an old Ferrari car. Hamilton is now starting his second week at Scuderia, and is also scheduled to conduct a TPC test, Testing of Previous Cars, this week.
The test is scheduled for Tuesday, January 28th to Thursday, January 30th. In Barcelona, Hamilton, along with new teammate Charles Leclerc, will also be driving an older Ferrari car. Reportedly, the two drivers will use either the 2022 F1-75 or the SF-23, which Hamilton also drove in Maranello. The aim of the test is once again to familiarize the seven-time world champion with the systems and protocols within Ferrari.
Pirelli Tyre Test
This is not the last test on the busy Briton’s schedule, as Hamilton will also participate in the Pirelli tests for the 2026 tyres on February 4th and 5th. Ferrari will participate with a so-called SF-24 ‘mule car’, which will be adapted to the aerodynamic requirements of the new regulations. Hamilton’s first team, McLaren, will also participate in this tyre test again at the Circuit de Barcelona-Catalunya.
