Lewis Hamilton is reportedly set for a reunion with his former physiotherapist, assistant, and trainer Angela Cullen. The two worked together for many years during Hamilton’s time at Mercedes, until Cullen left Formula 1 in 2023. The New Zealander is now said to have joined Hamilton’s Project 44 company.
As Lewis Hamilton officially starts as a Ferrari driver, he is expected to collaborate with many new faces, but reportedly, the Briton will also be reunited with an old acquaintance. Angela Cullen, who worked for Hamilton as a physiotherapist and trainer during six of his seven world titles, is back working for the driver, according to Motorsport.com. The physiotherapist has joined Hamilton’s Project 44 company.
Return
In 2023, Cullen decided to leave Formula 1 for IndyCar. There, the New Zealander started working for driver Marcus Armstrong. However, earlier this month, rumors surfaced that Cullen was going to work with Hamilton again. The physiotherapist posted photos on Instagram in which she was dressed in red and number 44, Hamilton’s racing number, could be seen in the background.
“Angela is living her life now,” Hamilton said about Cullen’s departure two years ago. The Briton immediately revealed that he has always maintained good contact with Cullen. “She has so many ideas about things she wants to do. We send messages almost every day, and still go skydiving together. We will always be in each other’s lives.”
