Charles Leclerc is looking forward to Ferrari’s future with confidence. The Monegasque driver sees clear progress behind the scenes in Maranello, where, according to him, hard work is being done to improve the team. Therefore, Leclerc is eagerly anticipating the start of 2026 and expects Ferrari to make a strong start.

Ferrari has had a mixed season in 2025, but there seems to be a gradual upward trend at Scuderia. Both drivers finished in the top five in Austin. “A lot has changed this season. We’re not where we want to be yet, but I feel that the right people are in the right places. That gives confidence for what’s to come,” Leclerc said to the media in Austin. “I know the people and I know how hard we’re working to improve our processes and ways of working. There are also new people joining the team, with a fresh perspective and different methods, and that gives me a lot of optimism for the future.”

According to Leclerc, Ferrari is currently at a turning point. “Next year will be a very important turning point, and we’ll see how that turns out,” said the Ferrari driver. “But I’m optimistic, because I know the team, I know the people, and I know we’re working in the right direction.”

Focus on 2026

In recent months, Scuderia has brought fewer updates to the circuits than competitors McLaren and Red Bull, but according to Leclerc, this is a deliberate strategy. “Some of our competitors have found a bit more speed with recent upgrades, but that was to be expected,” he explains. “We haven’t brought new parts, while others have. That’s a choice — one that I hope will pay off at the beginning of next year. We know what we need to do, and I believe that the decisions we’re making now can put us back in the fight for victories.”
