For the second year in a row, Charles Leclerc is hoping for success at the Italian Grand Prix in Monza. The Monegasque driver feels the unwavering support of the tifosi and believes that Ferrari, partly thanks to the fantastic atmosphere at the Autodromo Nazionale, is capable of something special. “I will give everything,” he promises.

Leclerc, who won the hearts of the tifosi with a victory at the iconic Autodromo Nazionale Monza in 2019, spoke candidly to Sky Sports about what it means to race as a Ferrari driver on home soil. “Being a Ferrari driver is the best thing there is,” Leclerc said, visibly impressed by the fans. “I never get used to this support. Every time we come back here, it’s incredible again.”

The Monegasque emphasized how special the moment on the podium is, with tens of thousands of ecstatic fans beneath him. “The emotion you feel when you’re up there, with all those people below… it’s beautiful.” For Ferrari, Monza is not just a race. It is an annual tribute to the team’s rich history and the tifosi. Leclerc knows this better than anyone. “Being a Ferrari driver in Monza is bizarre, just look at the event.”
