Jos Verstappen concluded the East African Safari Classic Rally in Kenya last weekend with a strong final sprint. The former Formula 1 driver and father of four-time world champion Max Verstappen, together with his regular co-driver Renaud Jamoul, competed at the forefront and demonstrated that he could measure up excellently with the international top. However, due to a previous setback, a top ranking in the final standings remained out of reach.

Jos Verstappen had a competitive final rally day with his red Porsche 911. Due to significant time loss in the ninth classification test earlier in the rally, Verstappen had already fallen back considerably in the overall standings. Based on his other results, a place in the top five would have been realistic, but that opportunity was lost there.

Nevertheless, Verstappen and Jamoul concluded the rally with several top times and a solid final classification, thereby leaving their mark on the event on behalf of Verstappen.com Racing. The rally victory eventually went to Harry Hunt, who benefited from a late crash by rally leader Baldev Chager.
