Following the GT3 success of Max Verstappen on the Nordschleife, his father Jos Verstappen also had a reason to celebrate on Saturday. He did so in St. Vith, Belgium, where he and navigator Renaud Jamoul secured the title in the Belgian Rally Championship.
Verstappen participated in the East Belgian Rally, a competition he had already won two years ago. He only needed a ninth-place finish to secure the title in advance. Verstappen more than met this requirement with his third-place finish in a Skoda Fabia RS Rally2.
