Christian Horner has once again responded to his dismissal from Red Bull. The Brit was let go in July due to disappointing results at the Austrian racing stable. The company has now officially bid farewell to Horner, who reportedly secured a substantial settlement. Perhaps this is why he speaks so highly of his former employer; the ex-team boss has nothing but praise for Red Bull.

In a statement released by Red Bull on Monday, Horner expressed how proud he was of everything he achieved with the team. “It was an honor and a privilege to lead Red Bull,” he said. “When we started in 2005, no one could imagine what we would ultimately achieve – the championships, the races, the people, the memories. I am incredibly proud of what we have accomplished as a team. The records we have broken and the heights we have reached, no one ever thought possible. I will always carry that with me.”

“However, I am most proud of assembling and leading a fantastic group of talented and driven individuals,” Horner continued. “I have seen a subsidiary of an energy drink company flourish and beat some of the world’s biggest car brands.” Under Horner’s leadership, Red Bull won eight driver titles and six constructors’ championships.

Oliver Mintzlaff, Red Bull CEO, added: “We want to thank Christian (Horner) for his exceptional work over the past twenty years. With his tireless commitment, experience, expertise, and innovative thinking, he has played a key role in building Red Bull into one of the most successful and appealing teams in Formula 1. Thank you for everything, Christian, and you will forever remain an important part of our team’s history.”
