The Canadian Grand Prix weekend is upon us, and it’s time once again for the unveiling of special liveries. Haas will be racing in Montreal for the team’s 200th Grand Prix in history. The youngest Formula 1 team on the grid is marking this milestone by reverting to a one-off livery from the past. Meanwhile, Red Bull is rolling out a special livery for F1 Academy talent Alisha Palmowski.
Haas first appeared on the Formula 1 grid in 2016, nearly two hundred race weekends ago. The American team cannot let this milestone pass unnoticed, and is introducing a one-off livery for the Canadian GP. The special design of the Haas car is a nod to the livery of the team’s very first F1 car, the VF-16. The car was driven by then Haas drivers Romain Grosjean and Esteban Gutiérrez. In Grosjean’s hands, the car scored points five times.

It’s not just the Haas car that’s getting a makeover for the weekend in Montreal. Red Bull is also opting for a one-off livery for their F1 Academy driver, Alisha Palmowski. Created by Canadian artist Kirsten McCrea, the livery is a celebration of ‘female excellence and talent in sports, design, and technology’. In addition, the special appearance for the race in Montreal is ‘rooted in the Canadian identity and features a palette of red for Canada and blue for Quebec.’
