The performances of Günther Steiner’s theatre show Unfiltered, which were scheduled to take place soon in Amsterdam, Brussels, and Germany, have been cancelled more than a month in advance. The reason? Disappointing ticket sales. According to a spokesperson for the Dutch promoter, these were unfortunately lacking, forcing them to scrap the shows.
Has the magic of Günther Steiner worn off? It seems so, at least in the Low Countries. The Italian former team boss of Haas F1 filled theatres everywhere last year, including in the Netherlands, following his notable appearances in the Netflix documentary Drive to Survive and the release of his book Surviving to Drive. In it, he candidly and humorously discusses his adventures as a team boss in Formula 1, among other things.
Steiner recently released a second book, titled Unfiltered. Due to the previous success, a theatre show of the same name was again linked to Steiner. This included performances at Theater Amsterdam, where the Italian was scheduled to perform on September 28, and the Auditorium in Brussels (October 1). However, these performances have been removed from the calendar due to disappointing ticket sales, as have shows in Germany. Steiner’s performances, who is now a part-time F1 analyst for the German commercial channel RTL, in Oslo, Stockholm, Copenhagen, and Lausanne are still scheduled for later this year.
