After a rainy weekend in Canada, Formula 1 is making a thrilling return to Europe for the Spanish Grand Prix. The race in Barcelona marks the start of a major European triple-header, the first of the season. The tension is mounting, especially as Mercedes seems to be in contention for the podium. Will the weather at the Circuit de Barcelona-Catalunya add an extra twist to the tale? Here’s the weather forecast for the Spanish GP!

The Canadian GP was made all the more exciting by the rain, which made the race a challenging one for many drivers. Several had to tread carefully on the wet asphalt of Montreal, and some were caught out and had to retire early. The weather forecast for the Spanish GP is deceptive – while the first few days in Barcelona are expected to be sunny, the chance of rain during the race is increasing.

Weather Forecast for the Spanish GP

On Friday, when the first free practice sessions are scheduled, the weather over the Spanish circuit is expected to be quite pleasant. Despite heavy rain on Thursday, the training sessions are likely to remain dry. A gentle southern wind and a maximum temperature of around 25 degrees Celsius will make it a comfortable day in Barcelona.

The weather is set to improve even further for the qualifying rounds. On Saturday, the chance of rain is negligible and the temperature is expected to rise to 26 degrees. It’s predicted to be a cloudless day as Max Verstappen and his colleagues push their cars to the limit. However, there could be a change in the weather on Sunday. The chance of rain during the Grand Prix is increasing, with a 55% chance of precipitation, although most of the rain is expected to fall in the morning.
