Ferrari has further bolstered its technical department with Guillaume Dezoteux. The Frenchman arrives from Racing Bulls and will take up the role of head Performance Operations. Dezoteux brings a wealth of experience to Maranello, where the technical team is being restructured. Notably, Lewis Hamilton — who, after a difficult debut season, parted ways with Riccardo Adami — is still waiting for a new race engineer.

Dezoteux spent eighteen years inside the Red Bull family and for the past two seasons served as head Vehicle Operations at Racing Bulls. He previously held several senior technical roles, including chief engineer and Performance Engineer. In 2011 he also worked at Michelin, where he focused on tyre performance.

With Dezoteux’s arrival, Ferrari has again added an experienced French engineer to its pool. Loïc Serra and Frank Sanchez were recruited earlier. It underscores Ferrari’s drive to shore up the technical foundation as it moves into the new F1 era.

Yet the team still has not appointed a race engineer for star driver Lewis Hamilton. The British ace made the switch to the Scuderia last year, but the move was rocky. A flashpoint was his working relationship with Riccardo Adami. In January it was announced the Italian would take a different role within the team. The lack of a settled race engineer for Hamilton is now prompting growing concern among insiders.
