Following the United States Grand Prix, the battle for second place in the Constructors’ Championship is wide open. Ferrari has further narrowed the gap to Mercedes, and team principal Frédéric Vasseur emphasizes that scoring with both cars will be essential in the thrilling final stages of the season.

Ferrari returned to the podium in Austin and saw both cars competitively vying for the lead. For team principal Frédéric Vasseur, this is precisely what matters at this stage of the championship: “It’s a good feeling to be back on the podium, to be back with both cars, to have the speed. We will keep fighting until the end.”

According to the Frenchman, scoring with both cars is crucial in the battle for second place. Red Bull, with 331 points, is just behind Scuderia, of which a whopping 306 points were scored by Max Verstappen alone. Meanwhile, Mercedes is only seven points ahead of Ferrari. However, Vasseur sees Red Bull’s one-sided point scoring as a risk for the competition: “We have three teams within ten points of each other, but Max is scoring large amounts of points every weekend. The most important thing is that we score points with both cars. Let’s stay focused until the end and get the most out of our package.”

Thrilling Final Stages in Constructors’ Battle

After the United States Grand Prix, the difference between Mercedes, Ferrari, and Red Bull is minimal. The gap between second and fourth place is only ten points. Therefore, the team that manages to get the best out of both cars seems likely to come out on top in the battle for second place. With only a few races left, the Constructors’ Championship promises to be a thrilling finale.
