Esteban Ocon’s deal with Haas is reportedly sealed! According to insiders, an official announcement is imminent. Ocon, who will not continue with Alpine in 2025, has long been linked to a transfer to Haas. If the Frenchman indeed joins the American racing team, he will be alongside rookie Oliver Bearman, completing the line-up.

BBC Sport reported on Tuesday that a press release about Esteban Ocon is likely to be released in the run-up to the Hungarian Grand Prix. The 27-year-old driver is currently without a seat for 2025, but all signs point to him having already secured a contract with Haas. The team of Ayao Komatsu previously entered into a multi-year collaboration with Ferrari talent Oliver Bearman.

Is This the End for Kevin Magnussen?

“According to well-placed sources close to Haas and Mercedes – who manage Ocon – the Frenchman has signed a contract with Haas,” say the British. “This means that Kevin Magnussen will leave the American team at the end of this season and will have to seek refuge with Alpine, Sauber, or Williams.” Haas driver Nico Hülkenberg previously signed a multi-year contract with Sauber.

Team Boss Ayao Komatsu’s Search for an ‘Expert’

Team boss Ayao Komatsu previously admitted to looking for an ‘expert’ to place alongside Oliver Bearman. In this regard, Ocon is a good choice for Haas. The driver from Évreux is in his eighth season in Formula 1 and has been on the podium multiple times. In 2021, he won his first and only race during the Grand Prix of Hungary.
