After it was revealed on Monday that Cardile would be leaving his position at Ferrari, the motorsport world eagerly awaited an official press release from the Silverstone team. The Italian will take on the role of chief technical director at Aston Martin starting from 2025.
According to insiders, the deal between Enrico Cardile and Aston Martin was sealed a few weeks ago, making the official announcement a mere formality. Cardile has made a significant impression with his work at Ferrari over the past years. The 49-year-old Italian has served the Scuderia for over two decades. Until Monday’s announcement of his departure from Maranello, he was in charge of chassis development.
