The qualification for the Grand Prix of São Paulo will not start in Brazil until 19:15 UTC. This is due to the heavy rainfall on the circuit. The start time is already an hour and fifteen minutes later than planned and is only applicable if conditions improve.
The FIA announced this on Saturday evening in a new update regarding the qualification. It was already clear that the start would be postponed after heavy rain and thunderstorms swept over the Autódromo José Carlos Pace. The track is too wet and therefore not safe enough to drive on, according to the race management.
