After a two-week hiatus, the next race on the Formula 1 calendar is set for this weekend: the Belgian Grand Prix. For the first part of the final double header before the summer break, the Formula 1 circus travels to the Ardennes. Spa-Francorchamps is a favourite circuit among the drivers, but can they also count on ideal weather conditions during the sprint weekend? Here is the full weather forecast for the Belgian Grand Prix!

Last year, the fans present were able to enjoy the summery weather conditions during the Belgian Grand Prix. Although the weather did not cause too much spectacle at the time, George Russell, the ‘tyre whisperer’ of the Belgian race, did. The Brit crossed the finish line first, but had to surrender his victory later due to a disqualification. His then teammate Lewis Hamilton was subsequently crowned winner for the second, and last, time of the season.

Weather Forecast for the Belgian Grand Prix

However, this year it seems that the weather could play a more significant role at Spa-Francorchamps. Friday is expected to start with a high chance of drizzle, 60 percent, but it should clear up during the first, and only, free practice. Later in the day, during the sprint qualification, the chance of showers increases again. The temperature will be around 20 degrees Celsius all day.

This variability continues on Saturday, and there is a ‘small chance’, 20 percent, that a rain shower will again pass over the circuit during the sprint race and the qualification. The temperature will be around 20 degrees Celsius. On Sunday, there is again a mix of ‘sunshine and rain’, with a small chance, again 20 percent, of multiple showers during the race itself. The temperature will be 21 degrees Celsius.
